We are often approached on a purely enquiry basis by couples during the early planning stages of a wedding, with so many options for venues from restaurants and hotels to a deserted Island, couples ask us what the advantages to having a marquee wedding means. For those of you lucky enough to have room in your garden for a marquee, having your wedding at home is absolutely wonderful, all the comforts of home where your friends and family can come and wish you well, and the memories lasting for many years to come. If you don’t have the space at home there are many sites available for hire, often with beautifully cared for gardens, with power and toilets already in situ. A standard hire for a wedding or civil ceremony involves the marquee being erected two days prior to your function, allowing a clear day before your wedding for the marquee to be dressed, the structure is then removed two days after your function, unless otherwise required.

 
Having a marquee wedding is not necessarily the cheapest option however; you certainly have more choices and often get better value for money. The main areas that differ between a marquee function and say a hotel, hall or restaurant is the control you have over the trimmings from the bar and catering side of your function through to your start and finish times. By holding, your special day in a marquee you can also chose a structure to suit the numbers of guests you want to invite, as opposed to the venue dictating the guests they can accommodate. You also have more control over how you want your interior décor. Whether you opt for elegant ivory with simple ivy trails coming down the poles, cover the roof in miniature butterflies or have towers of colourful flowers the choice is yours. Simple changes like chair style and flooring can make a big difference in your overall costs so whatever your budget there is a marquee just for you.
