| Traditional Marquee hire Traditional marquees are what most people think of when they think of marquees. They are erected on a pole system, meaning that you will have main poles inside your Marquee; although you lose a little bit of space with this method you gain a considerable amount of character, they also have guy ropes; the covering material is made of plain white fire retardant plastic and is supported by the pole work. Ideally traditionals need to be built on grass as they have a large amount of stakes, although they can be built on hard standing if it is acceptable for holes to be made. These can be back filled after your function. Traditionals take up slightly more room then frame structures due to the guy ropes. They are exceptionally nice for weddings or more formal parties as the main poles can be decorated with flowers, lights or hanging baskets. They are also a nice option if your budget does not stretch to interior linings (the internal decorative fabric) this is because without linings the internal view is a run of plain white plastic as opposed to on a frame when the metal work can look quite unattractive if linings are not used. Traditionals are generally taller then frames and offer a more interesting shape visually. This style of structure offers an elegant backdrop to any event.
